What Your Tour Looks Like

No script and no sales pitch. Just a real look at how your child's day would unfold at Spark.

Come inside. You're always welcome here
Your tour at Spark is the real thing, not a rehearsed presentation. You’ll walk through the same spaces your child will learn in every day, see the classrooms in action, and get an honest look at how we operate. We want you to feel at home here, because once your child is enrolled, you’re welcome to visit anytime.
Walk through every classroom and learning space
You'll see the classrooms for your child's age group, the Developmental Playroom that transforms monthly, and the outdoor play areas. If you visit during class hours, you'll see purposeful play in action.
Meet Dr. Michelle Peterson, Ed.D.
Dr. Peterson leads every tour personally. She'll answer your questions about the curriculum, share how the Purposeful Play Framework would work for your child, and explain how teachers handle big emotions, different learning styles, and the transition to school.
Ask anything. No follow-up calls unless you want them
This is your time. Ask about how Spark supports children with different learning styles, what the enrichment schedule looks like, or how mornings work for a child who's never been to school before. There's no script. There's no pressure.

One more thing: the access you get during your tour isn't special. It's normal. Our parents walk into classrooms every single day. You'll never have to wonder what's happening behind a closed door, because at Spark, the door is always open.

Dr. Michelle Peterson leading a tour at Spark Academy preschool
I started Spark because I wanted families to have what I never found: a place that sees every child, respects parents as partners, and refuses to cut corners on how children learn.

When you visit, I want you to feel what our families feel every morning when they walk their child to the classroom door. This isn't a big-box program where children are managed in batches. It's a school where your child will be known by name, challenged at their level, and genuinely cared for.

I lead every tour myself because this decision matters too much to delegate. I want to hear about your child, answer your questions, and show you exactly how we'd support their growth.

Come see the classrooms. Watch the kids. Ask me anything. That's what the tour is for.

— Dr. Michelle Peterson, Ed.D.

What Spark Families Are Saying

One thing my husband and I strive to teach and instill in him is curiosity, and Spark is the perfect place for this. Since beginning at Spark, our son has begun to notice and identify letters while we are out and about. Spark is a wonderful partner with us as we seek together to spur on our son's love of learning and exploration.

Questions About Visiting Spark

How long does a tour take?
Most tours last about 30 minutes. If you have more questions, we're happy to take as much time as you need.
Should I bring my child?

Absolutely. We love when children visit! We want your child to feel comfortable in our school environment before their first day. Most children connect with Spark right away, and it’s not uncommon for them to ask their parents when they can come back.

What will I see during the tour?
You'll walk through all of our learning spaces, including the classrooms for your child's age group and the Developmental Playroom. If you visit during class hours, you'll see learning in action. Dr. Peterson leads every tour personally, so you'll have a chance to ask questions directly.
Can both parents come?
Absolutely. We encourage it. Choosing a preschool is a big decision, and we want both parents (or any caregivers involved in the decision) to feel confident and informed.
What if I'm not ready to enroll after the tour?
No pressure at all. Some families tour months before they're ready to enroll. Some visit more than once. We're here whenever you're ready, and if questions come up later, you can always reach out.
